The main goal of the project is to create employment opportunities for graduates and students, by using the comparative advantages of the cross-border area, if possible, by using innovative tools and practices. BeCircular approaches the concepts of circular economy and bio-economy, to create job opportunities for young engineers/scientists/artists/technicians. Through further training and preparing them to function as entrepreneurs by using higher education skills and knowledge. The activities of the project are fully in line with the strategies of the EU, national and local authorities for waste management and the promotion of the circular economy.
Within the framework of the project, ZMAI plans to establish a “Center for Entrepreneurship and Creativity” for the preparation of young entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, technicians and engineers for entering the circular economy and bio-economy. The activities envisaged include joint local cross-border employment initiatives achieved through counseling campaigns and the development of business models by students. The targeted events will be organized as educational presentations in secondary schools in the Pelagonian region, workshops to gain interest and increase awareness of circular economy, bio-economy and entrepreneurship within the framework of the Center, while special trainings for teachers and mentors will be organized through the project partners.
